TROOP LEADERSHIP & COMMITTEE

SCOUTMASTER - SAM WILFOND

Having earned his Eagle Rank in 1981, Sam returned to Scouts as an Adult Leader in his sons' Cub Scout Pack in 2006, became an Assistant Scoutmaster in 2012, and became Troop 100's second Scoutmaster in October 2021. Sam also served as Unit Commissioner from 2010-2021.  Sam has participated in and staffed Wood Badge, and is a Member of the Order of the Arrow.  He is the recipent of the Commissioners Key, the Ray Weaver Commissioner's Award, Gilwell Society Silver Axe Award, and the District Award of Merit (2017), among many others.  Sam was the Chairperson for Jamboree on the Air (JOTA) in 2021.  All three of his sons are Eagle Scouts.

ASSISTANT SCOUTMASTER - NEAL GRABASCH

Neal is active in scouting in many capacities and is the father of Eagle Scout, Matt.  A founding member of Troop 241 and ASM for girls Troop 4241, Neal volunteered to become an ASM in Troop 100 in 2019.  Neal is a frequent member of the Everglades District Eagle Board.  In recognition for his service to many Units he was awarded the Everglades District Award of Merit in 2020.

COMMITTEE CHAIR – BILL BOYLE

Bill has been involved with Scouting since his son, Billy, joined as a Tiger in 2014. In April 2019, he founded Troop 100, and served as Scoutmaster until October 2021.  Bill became the Troop Committee Chair in November 2021.  For his  leadership to the Troop he received the Unit Leader Award of Merit in 2020.  He has also a recipient of the Scouter's Training Award, the Den Leader's Training Award and the District's Valuable Scouter Award.  He completed Wood Badge training in May 2018.  Mr. Boyle is the Everglades District Eagle Board Chairman for which he earned the District Award of Merit in 2020.

SECRETARY – FAY BOYLE

Fay has been a strong supporter of Scouting since her son, Brian, joined Cub Scouts in second grade.  She started as a den leader and remained a strong scout supporter throughout his Boy Scout years.  After Brian earned the rank of Eagle Scout, the two of them started a Venture Crew with Fay as Committee Chair.   Fay is happy to be serving on the Troop Committee and to be the Webmaster for the Troop 100.   Her son, Bill, is the Scoutmaster.

TREASURER – JAY WANDTKE

Jay volunteered to be the Troop Treasurer when we formed the troop.  He has been a volunteer since his son, James joined scouting.  Jay manages all Troop funds and makes sure the budget for the year is followed.

ADVANCEMENT CHAIR - MICHELLE GRABASCH

Michelle is an active committee member who has also taken on the role of Advancement Chair.  Her son, Matt, is an Eagle Scout and Michelle serves every month on the Everglades District Eagle Board.

OUTDOOR CHAIR - BRANDON FRIEDLANDER

Brandon, an Eagle Scout, joined Troop 100 with his son, who crossed over from Cubscouts as an Arrow of Light, in 2020.  In addition to his duties as Outdoor Activities Chair for Troop 100, he is also the Committee Chair for Pack 224.

COMMITTEE MEMBER - TZUFIT BOYLE

Mrs. Boyle has held multiple leadership roles since her son, Billy, joined as a Tiger in 2014. She was the Pack Treasurer from 2015-2018, and volunteered to be Troop 100's Secretary when she crossed over into the Troop. A Civil and Environmental engineer, Tzufit encourages Scouts to always pursue engineering, be conservation-minded, and to always Dream Big.  Outside of the Pack, she is a Fellow of the American Society of Civil Engineers.

CHARTER ORGANIZATION REPRESENTATIVE - CHUCK EMERTON

Involved in Scouting since youth, Chuck has held nearly every Cub Scout Leader position, and has been active at the District and Council levels. In 2013, Chuck established Pack 100 at Faith United Methodist Church to promote Scouting, and then worked with Mr. Boyle to found Troop 100 in 2019.  A Wood Badge-trained leader, Chuck received the Silver Beaver award in 2015, recognizing him as a distinguished Scouter.

UNIT COMMISSIONER – BALFOUR ABRAMS

Balfour was recently recognized for his 76 active years with Scouting.  As Unit Commissioner he supports the Troop and provides guidance and counseling.  We are honored to have Balfour's direction to help maintain the standards of Scouts BSA.
